DEDIER DROGBA

Didier  Yves Drogba Te`bily born March 11, 1978 Ivory Coast, recently announced his move to Shanghai Shenhua FC as center forward.  Accoeding to his website, Drogba "today i can inforn you that i have singed  with Chinese Club Shanghai Shenhua FC for a two and half year deal (till the end of 2014)" This was on June 20, 2012. He will be flying in July to join the squad. He said that he has considered all the offers that the club has offered him and made his decision to play for this club.

He was named African player of the Year in 2006 and was named by Times Magazine to be one of the 100 world's most influential person 2010.

The 34 year old star is expected to earn 200,000 pounds/week.

He is happily married with 3 kids with his wife Diakite` Lalla from Mali. He runs various foundations and was named UNDP Goodwill ambassador to help improve and raise awareness in regards to African issues.
