INDIAN TRADITIONAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Birthday celebration is one of the most important event in ones lifetime as we celebrate the continued age growth and welcoming the new challenges and responsibilities. 
This concept has actually been well engineered by Indian community who takes this time to gather around their family members and friends to share great time and special food served at this function to enjoy the kinship within the extended family.
Traditional celebration is what brings the joy in it. Lunch is the main event.
Now with the well made traditional meal, which is a collection of various exotic food, is served on a banana leaf and enjoyed while sited on the floor.
Burning of special candle called Kuthuvilaku normally lite in Temples  made of brass, silver, copper and Gold as sign of respect and honor.

These include Sharkara,Paiyasam, Dal, Papadam, Ingibuli,pickle, avial with(curd milk and mixed vegetables) among others.
 For desert there will be fried banana chips and ripe bananas for digestion. They believe bananas help to ease digestion.
Mostly, vegetarian dish is prepared for this occasion. Typical exotic vegetables prepared and served in artistic way.
The name of the meal is Sadhya.
